A Visit to the Art Museum of Puerto Rico

What to do on a Saturday in Puerto Rico, near the metro area? Well you can now visit the MAPR - Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico on an afternoon. It's being a long time since I first visited the museum. The museum was previously the Municipal Hospital of San Juan.

The museum is currently open Friday and Saturday. There are two-time slots each day, and you can buy tickets online at PRTicket.com. The days and time are subject to change according to law enforcement from the governor of the island during these pandemic days.

A friend asked me if I wanted to go with her since we were making plans to meet up and I say yes, I like to visit museums and be amazed by the amazing work of the artist around the world and different times. How not to visit the museum of my motherland, Puerto Rico, and in the good company of my friend.

You can visit the galleries located on the 1st and 2nd floors and the botanical sculpture garden.

It's a good way to spend a day out of your house, and appreciate good art. You can go with a friend, partner or even with your family.

You have to wear a face mask all the time and keep a 6ft distance from others all the time inside the museum.

Here are some images around the outdoor garden area:

If you have never visited before this is your chance to do it. Also, you don't have to dress up to visit, I just wanted to do it because I haven't dress up in a while I could say in about four months or more.

Address: 299 Avenida de Diego

Santurce, Puerto Rico 00909

The museum has a multi-floor parking lot.
